Observation task 4: Planning and preparing for learning





Focus             The importance of planning and preparation

 

Objective     The objective of this task is for student teachers to begin to identify and discuss the relevance of planning and preparation as well as to gain insight into how teachers do this.

Teacher arranges learners into groups to work on an activity. after that teacher divided groups to different activity. for example, give group one write letter and draw picture from this letter and second group write a sentence and cut the letter.

The teacher five student to draw car after that  student make this car. Also, when finish car doing race for each.  group
Learners start the activity, and talk together to finish it.  Some students are raising their hand asking for help. also, learn student who responsibility to do his work well.

How do you plan?  Do you plan weekly or daily? weekly.  Do you plan as part of a team or individually?  breaking down every day. plan as a team sometimes individual.
 
In your lessons, do you ever do anything you haven't planned to do? why? yes, sometime what l have planned didn't go well, something we run out of time.
 
What are the most important things to you when planning a lesson? to plan a lot so you always have  something for the student to do.
 
Do you plan to do the same thing with all children in the classroom?(why/why not?)
No because they are on different academic level.

1- Why is planning and preparation for learning important?  So you can be prepared for your class and be able to meet the outcome and students needs.
 
2- What do you have to think about before you begin to plan for learning? Student academic levels, time, and content.
 
  
3- How do you plan? Do you plan weekly or daily? Do you plan as part of a team or individually?  Weekly, with other grade 1 EMT.
 
4- In your lessons, do you ever do anything you haven't planned to do? why? Yes, I make adjustments as I go base on time and sometimes the lesson can change due to student reactions.
 
5- What are the most important things to you when planning a lesson? Knowing your student's interest and the content.
 
6- Do you plan to do the same thing with all the students in the classroom? (why/why not?) No, because it doesn't always work for  each student sometimes you have to use a different approach.
