Observation Tasks 5 and 6: Different learning styles and differentiation – General observations

 

 

 

Focus: On the learner.

 
Objective:  The student teachers will observe and report on  how learners are different. 

 

 

1.    What do you notice? Who are the students who answer the questions? Who are the students who are quiet? Who are the students who are not focused?  
 

 - I notice how the teacher start the class and what the subject the student learn for this time. Always Mohammad Rashid  answer the question quickly. Nahyan quiet student. Khalid doesn't focus to the teacher.

 


2.     Are there learners who finish activities quickly?  What do they do when they have finished?

-I saw Mohammed Rashid, Mohair and Suhail always finish activities quickly. When student finish  activates  he help other student or sit quietly .


3.     Are there learners who do not finish a task(s)?  How does the teacher deal with them?

 -Nahyan, Khalid and Sultan  don't finish tasks . Teacher deal with this student help them for this task or students help them to did this task


4.     Are there any learners with special needs?  What kind of special needs do you think they have? How does the teacher deal with them?  No

 

5.     How does the teacher manage learners with different levels/abilities?
 

-Teacher helps more the students with low level and sometimes she make the students with high level help them.

 Nahyan isn’t  working on the activity and he  doesn’t  asking her friend for the answers.  He draw and don’t answer the questions  after that teacher example what must he do.

Teacher plays a game with the whole class.
(students make  car after that race each group).
Nayhan  is joining in with his friends and is playing the game.

Teacher give English letters (Singing the letters).
Nayhan isn't focus with friends and he doesn't say letters.

Mohammed  is focus with friends and he does say letters and sound. also he is   interactive with it

-Some students have constant interaction and some students do not interact much with lesson .

-When the student made car.

 

4.  What did the learner do during the break times?

 

-See film or review about the letter or numbers.

 

5.  What did the learner’s attention span / interest during activities seem like?

 

-Student like make car and race with other groups. Student more interesting about this activity.

 
 

6.  What did the learner seem to like doing the most / least during the day?
