Focus:  Classroom Management
Observe the teacher and complete the following table :
 
 

 

 

Beginning and ending the day
Punctuality at the beginning of the lesson
_ Teacher came before student, she always on time. Also, she begin her lesson on time and leave when student leave.
 
Teacher’s response to those who are late. What does she say?

bad boy/ Not doing again.
 
 
_ Punishment
 
-          Student standing behind the door.

-         Don't do activity with student.

-         Take student to manager office.
 
Starting the day: what does the teacher say? do?
 
 
 
 
 

-         Good morning student

-         They put their pins on the desk,

-         and take attendance, after that asked student about day, month and time.

 

 
 
Lining up : location
_ Playground
 
They have a some time to play in class and outside and use lining up when they move.

( when came to class or when finish morning assembly).   
  
_ Inside class 
 
 (when student go break, go student anther class, when finish class and go home).

_ Teacher Says the names of students  to doing lining up.

 
 
Ending the day: what does the teacher say? /do?
 
 
_ Teacher say to student sit quietly to leave early and when student sit quietly , teacher say the name of student and student lining up.

 
 
Moving
Moving the children for an activity.
What does she say? do?
 
_Teacher say every groups must to be quiet to do an activity

must all group be  ready to do activity but when somebody  talk in teacher group don’t give this group activity until the group  be quiet.
Moving the children: how do they respond?  
 
_Teacher when need to move the student, she use strategy the name of student, for example, when teacher need moving to carpet  she take quiet student ( every student sit quietly to go the carpet).
 
 
Misbehavior                     _ She use punishment for some student when this         student do bad behavior or talk all the time.
What was the learner doing?
 
_ Same time student use hand to touch or boxing his friends.

_ Some student say bad words for his friends.

 
 
What did the teacher say? do?
_ Teacher say about this student don’t doing gain and must student say sorry for student, also, teacher say for student.

_ Teacher  says to  student say to him do not do this a second time.

_ When student doing again teacher punish student to stand behind door.

 
How did the child respond:
 
_ Some student respond quickly, but some student need time or teacher remind  them.
 
 
How does the teacher stop the children at the end of an activity? What does she say? do?
 
_ Teacher when need stop the student of activity say clean up, clean up.

Also, some student need tow times to stop the activity.
